For Coaches Racing & planning

Importing race results after a race

Two ways to bring race day data into the Hub.

When to import

After the race, you have two artifacts you may want to bring in:

  1. Official timing from the race organiser (overall time, splits by leg, age group rank).
  2. The athlete's FIT file captured by their device (per-second power, pace, HR, GPS).

The Hub stores both and uses them to build the post-race comparison versus your race plan.

How to import

Open /admin/race/<race_id>/import-results/. You have two tabs:

Tab 1: Paste timing

The Hub computes goal-vs-actual for each leg and surfaces the result on the recap.

Tab 2: Upload FIT

You can do both. Most coaches do.

What the post-race comparison shows

Editing the import

If timing was wrong, edit the imported numbers on the race detail page. Re-importing a FIT replaces the prior one.

What the athlete sees

The athlete sees the comparison on their race detail page and on the recap form (see Filing a race recap).
