For Coaches Coaching workflows

Revoking premium access from an athlete (coach)

How to end a grant and what happens to the athlete data.

How to revoke

  1. Open the athlete's edit page (/coach/athlete/<id>/edit/).
  2. Set Coach grant premium to off.
  3. Save.

The change is immediate. The athlete loses access to premium-only features on next page load.

What happens to their data

Nothing is deleted. All races, activities, wellness logs, equipment, notes, and assessments stay on the athlete record. Only the premium access ends.

If the athlete had run premium-only calculators (pacing, fueling, hydration) and saved the outputs, those saved outputs remain viewable on existing race plans. They will not be able to generate new ones.

What if the athlete paid directly

If the athlete had also paid for premium directly, your revoke does not affect their access. They remain premium via direct payment. The Hub checks all premium sources before deciding the tier.

When you revoke happens automatically

Premium grants end automatically in two cases:

  1. The coach-athlete relationship ends (the athlete leaves your roster, e.g. via a switch to another coach).
  2. The coach account is closed or suspended.

In both cases, the system runs the same revoke logic and updates the athlete tier.

Rebate impact

Revoking a grant lowers your premium athlete count. If you were above the rebate threshold (7 premium athletes), the rebate calculation for next month adjusts down.
