Deleting your account
Self-service deletion is not yet available. Here is the admin-mediated process and what gets removed.
Self-service deletion: not today
The Hub does not yet offer a "delete my account" button.
Account deletion is processed by admin on request.
This is intentional during beta: account deletion has
cascade implications for the data of coaches and athletes
you are linked to, and the deletion has to be reviewed for
data preservation reasons (audit trails, regulatory
retention windows for some health-adjacent data).
A self-service path is on the roadmap.
How to request deletion
- Export your data first (see
Exporting your data) if
you want a copy.
- Email admin with your request. Use the email on
your account so the request can be verified.
- Wait for confirmation (typically 5 business days).
Admin may follow up with questions if your account has
relationships that need disentangling.
- Deletion is processed and confirmed by email.
What gets deleted
For an athlete account
- The
User row.
- The
Athlete row.
- Athlete-owned data: activities (and their FIT files
unless retention is required), wellness logs, races,
race recaps, calculator results, assessment records,
metric history, equipment, activity comment threads.
- Coach relationships: ended.
- Premium tier records: ended.
For a coach account
- The
User row.
- The
UserProfile (coach role) row.
- Coach-owned data: notes you authored, assessments you
authored.
CoachAthleteRelationship rows: ended (the athlete
records themselves stay; only the relationship ends).
- Team assignments: ended.
What stays
- Audit / edit logs that reference the deleted user by
ID may keep the ID but no other personal data. This is
for audit integrity.
- Aggregate analytics that no longer identify the
deleted user.
- Bug reports the user filed (with the user reference
set to null).
- Help questions the user submitted (with the user
reference set to null).
What about my data on other athletes' accounts?
If you are a coach
- The CoachNotes you authored about other athletes: deleted
with you, or transferred to "[deleted user]" depending on
admin policy at the time. Notes do not auto-republish to
other coaches.
If you are an athlete
- Coach notes about you authored by other coaches: stay on
the coach's record. The coach can see notes about you
even after you delete (they authored those notes; the
privacy gate is keyed to the author).
- If you want those notes also removed, mention it in the
deletion request and admin will coordinate.
Reactivation
Deletion is intended to be permanent. If you decide to come
back, the typical path is creating a new account from
scratch. Data restoration after a deletion is best-effort
and not guaranteed.
Premium refunds
If you have an active paid premium and request deletion
before the renewal date, you can request a prorated refund
in the same email. See

What you cannot do
- Delete just one activity via account deletion: that
is a per-activity action on the activity detail page.
- Anonymise your account without deleting it. The Hub
does not have an anonymisation mode.
- Roll back the deletion after admin completes it.
